Telehealth Consultation Skills
Consulting well through a screen is a distinct clinical skill.
1. Program overview
Virtual consultation is now routine, and clinicians were largely left to work it out themselves. This course covers what changes when the consultation is remote: establishing rapport quickly without physical presence, structuring a consultation that compensates for the absent examination, remote assessment technique and its limits, recognising when a case must be seen in person, safety netting, consent and privacy in the patient's own environment, and the practicalities of camera, lighting and framing that affect how competent you appear.
