ECG Interpretation Essentials: A Systematic Approach
A reliable reading method, then the rhythms and patterns that change management.

Program overview
ECG teaching usually presents a gallery of abnormalities without giving the learner a method. This course does the opposite: it builds a systematic reading sequence first — rate, rhythm, axis, intervals, morphology — and then applies it to the findings that alter immediate management. It covers the normal ECG in detail, chamber enlargement, conduction block, ischaemia and infarction patterns, and the life-threatening rhythms. Extensive worked examples throughout. This is knowledge-based interpretation training; it complements but does not replace supervised clinical practice.
Why this program
Method first, gallery second
Extensive worked interpretation examples
Prioritises findings that change management

Who it is for
Program objectives
- Apply a systematic sequence to every ECG you read
- Determine rate, rhythm and axis reliably
- Measure and interpret the principal intervals
- Recognise chamber enlargement and conduction block patterns
- Identify ischaemia and infarction patterns and their territories
- Recognise the rhythms that require immediate intervention
Learning outcomes
- Apply a systematic reading sequence to a presented ECG
- Calculate rate and determine axis from a given trace
- Identify conduction block type from a presented ECG
- Recognise ischaemic and infarct patterns and localise the territory
- Differentiate life-threatening from benign rhythm abnormalities
- Prioritise a clinical response based on a presented trace
