Healthcare Waste Management
Segregate, handle and dispose of healthcare waste safely, for staff, patients and the planet.

What is Healthcare Waste Management?
Healthcare facilities produce general, infectious, sharps, pharmaceutical, chemical and radioactive waste. Poor segregation increases infection risk, costs and environmental harm. This course follows the WHO approach to healthcare waste: categories, segregation at source, colour coding principles, containers and labelling, safe handling, storage and transport, spill management, treatment options and waste reduction.
